Students Beware - One Night Stands!

Stumbling back to a strangers room after a heavy night out could cost you your mobile, keys, credit cards, spare change and clothes as well as your dignity on the formidable ‘walk of shame' the following morning.

But as fresher week is upon us, its clear that there will be a fair number of one night stands over the numerous ‘Welcome nights' kick off in bars, pub and clubs across the land as well as the ‘young, free and single' mentality of new students away from home – but at Clear Student Debt we encourage you to flaunt yourself, not your belongings!

A survey of 3,651 students from insurers Cover4Students revealed that nearly a third who have had a one-off casual fling also had personal possessions stolen, but don't assume its not only girls that get robbed as its revealed that 1 in 5 male respondents also had something stolen.

With theft ranging from ‘borrowing' cash, mobile phones and jewellery being most common, there are also instances of clothing going missing. So guys: Forget lending your conquest a jacket for their early morning walk home, it will probably be the last you see of it.
